Archdiocesan News

Charity, patience and tenderness are very beautiful gifts. If you have them, you want to share them with others. - Pope Francis.

Your support remains critical; through the many works of tenderness, compassion and mercy made possible by you through the ABCD, you make present Christ’s kingdom.

Share yours today by visiting www.isupportabcd.org.

When it comes to estate planning, if you are not specific, you could create confusion. In addition, the gift can be for a charity’s “general purpose,” meaning the charity can use the funds as it sees fit, or for a specific purpose that you detail. When listing a specific purpose, be certain that the charity can fulfill that purpose, otherwise the charity may need to refuse the bequest. If your request is very specific, you should consider contacting the development office to confirm the charity is able to achieve your objective.

How often do we invest our time, talent and treasure in creating an appearance that does not matter to God?
We strive to impress with our clothing, home career, possessions, car and other marks of distinction. But none of these illusions of greatness will impress God. Instead, He will look into our hearts to see how much we loved Him, how much we loved others and how we showed that love by the way we used our time, talent and treasure here on earth.
