O God, who chose your servant Pope Leo XIV in succession to the Apostle Peter as shepherd of the whole flock, look favorably on the supplications of your people and grant that, as Vicar of Christ on earth, he may confirm his brethren and that the whole Church may be in communion with him in the bond of unity, love and peace, so that in you, the shepherd of souls, all may know the truth and attain life eternal. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Dios nuestro, que, a fin de suceder al apóstol Pedro, elegiste a tu siervo Papa Leon XIV. para que fuera el pastor de todo tu rebaño, mira con bondad al pueblo que te suplica, para que, quien hace las veces de Cristo en la tierra, confirme en la fe a sus hermanos; y haz que toda la Iglesia viva en comunión con él, por el vínculo de la unidad, del amor y de la paz, a fin de que todos encuentren en ti, Pastor de las almas, la verdad y la vida eterna. Por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, tu Hijo, que vive y reina contigo en la unidad del Espíritu Santo y es Dios por los siglos de los siglos.
